Time Of Your Life

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road.
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go.
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why.
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

Ah, time to wax nostalgic on all the memories I've had at this blog. I've blogged about meeting TNG, work trouble, 100 things about me, annoying people, and tons of other stuff...

But not to worry because I'm going to export this baby over to the new blog. But I think this will be my last post here. I need to get some stuff done before our trip down to ORL and while down there I won't have access to the internet *gasp*.

Anyway, don't forget to visit me at the new place, SabrinaFaire.com update you bookmarks and blogrolls my friend. Wish me a good trip! I hate flying! Adios!

So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind.
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time.
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial.
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

Well, it's up

The new domain is up. MT is installed. I don't like the template much but I don't have time to futz with it now. I haven't posted anything, but if you'd like to see the new house, perhaps envision what it will look like when all the of the decorations are up and the furniture is in, feel free to go check it out. If you've got some experience with MT templates/Stylesheets, please speak up. I'd like something with a fairy or a dragon on it. I've found some artists that allow you to use their work on non-profit sites so long as you give a link back. So, suggestions, comments, inquiries, all are welcome!

This really makes me want to cry.

Man charged with cruelty in death of cats Free Subscription Required

Excerpt from today's Chicago Tribune:

A Chicago man was charged with aggravated animal cruelty Monday after a witness saw two cats plummeting to their deaths from a 13th-story windowsill of his senior citizens high-rise.
Booker Butler, 63, ejected the felines from his apartment in the Chicago Housing Authority's Hilliard Homes shortly before 9:30 a.m. Monday, police said.
...
"He was told he couldn't have cats in the building. So his way of addressing the issue was to kill the cats," said Lt. John McDonald of the Chicago Police Department's Central District

How does someone get to be 63 and be this goddamn stupid? Why would you do such a thing? Why? This is just so horrible. He could have found a home for those babies. I know several people that would have taken them in if no shelter were available. Hell I would have taken both of them just to keep them from being thrown to their deaths. I think we need to dip this asshole in tuna and catnip and throw him to the lions at Lincoln Park.

Status Update

The nameservers for the new domain have been pointed to BlogHosts. I got the log in info from them last night as well, so when the Internet finally resolves my domain name it will show you a nice "under construction" page. Don't you just love those? I know I do. Don't worry it doesn't blink or move or do anything else annoying. I also submitted a ticket to have Movable Type installed. Woot! One step closer my friends!!

Oh, if you want to be notified when the big move does happen, please sign up here. This site won't go away for awhile and it will have a link but just in case, plunk your email addy in here. I promise I won't sell it or anything. I mean seriously, I'd have to collect thousands of email addresses to make any kind of money. :)

WOOT

OK I just forked over $30 to BlogHosts to set up my new blog at my new domain, SabrinaFaire.com (there's nothing there yet so don't get too excited). Since TNG and I are going to Orlando later this week I probably won't have a chance to do anything to the blog until I get back but I wanted to get the ball rolling so that everything can get set up. It takes awhile to do the set up, then the installation, then the resolving of the domain name to the new servers, etc. Anyway, I'm so excited!!! Maybe I'll win the Bloggie and be able to pay for all this! Yay!

Um, Anyone Surprised?

I did not stay up to watch the end of the Oscars. In fact, I really didn't watch most of it, just a bit here and there because I like Billy Crystal. The man is funny. Anyway, big news this morning: Lord of the Rings Sweeps Oscars. And darn, I didn't get in on any Oscar pools. Probably because no one is running them! I mean, are you surprised? I'm not. Not that I didn't like LOTR, I did, but I bet movie makers are sighing some relief now that the LOTR craze is over and they can't win any more Oscars. Unless, of course, Mr. Jackson decides to make The Hobbit, or The Silmarillion. Now if someone decides to make some epic movies for Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, then we'll be in some Oscar trouble, because you're looking at about 12 years of movies there.
